   Coming from a Pixel 7a I am very satisfied. The phone feels very premium and looks exquisite. The display is bright and clear even on the sunniest of days. The phone is snappy and responsive, no lag whatsoever. The battery life is truly all day regardless of usage, that includes some gaming, videos, browsing and regular usage as well. Do expect to charge the phone daily with heavy use, but it will make it all day regardless of usage. The phone gets hot, but only during gaming or charging. The AI stuff is google only so that's disappointing. I don't use Gmail, so magicue is kind of useless to me. I haven't used any of the new AI features at all and haven't had the opportunity to do so. I don't use chrome either. It's a great phone and I hope with more updates it does what Android is supposed to and integrate features from other apps that aren't from Google to utilize magiccue. The cameras are awesome too, the 100x zoom is incredible, but it uses AI to enhance it so it doesn't feel like a real picture. I'm not into AI so the phone loses a star due to focusing on that while not delivering. But it's better than AI on any other phone, including Apple. If you ask it to give you complicated directions it's done in one step. I have yet to see the phone route me to a web browser for more results.

   Gets hot. Glitchy. Way overpriced for subpar chipset

   Great so far, and NOT the USA version: so this one has a slot for a physical SIM as well as eSIM capability!
   
   All settings and most apps transferred over from my Pixel 8Pro without fuss. Very pleased. The camera improvements are incremental but tangible.
   
   Attached is a "Pro Res Zoom" (aka. "AI") photo of a sunbathing turtle we saw during a canoe outing earlier today. The original (12X digital zoom) is shown along with the "Pro Res Zoom" AI-enhanced version.
   
   UPDATE: Working extremely well. After a couple thousand photos, it is obvious that the new camera/software is significantly better than that of my previous Pixel 8pro, despite several review sites claiming minimal differences. Not a change: way better! The phone is also noticeably snapper and faster at everything. A totally worthwhile upgrade from the 8pro.
