   I bought the Hawkins 3 liter coutura, I tested it with water only to see if it was working properly, it does, but it does get a lot of pressure, and since is not a whistle cooker, it releases the steam with a very strong force, and its loud to the point that can scare you, once you hear the first steam release, I would recommend to lower the heat a little less than half. You have to get used to this type of system. I also bought the Prestige as well, 3 liter. I found it to be better built, and the steam noise is less intense, less scary. I would suggest to buy the Prestige because its easier to manage. The Hawkins is for seasoned cookers, that know what they doing. Either way, they both look very handsome, they work, just trust the process, and the noise.

   Does what it is supposed to do

   Its good compared to teflon coated ones.
   Not pure stainless steel so it will oxidize in dishwasher.
   So far its working fine. No complaints

   I have a 6 liter cooker which was a little big for, say, 3-4 chicken leg quarters. This cooker is perfect for that. I had no problem after multiple uses with explosive or alarming steam release or such. It just hissed. I followed the instructions and it thoroughly cooks four thighs ‘n drumsticks (eight mins cook time after valve steam indicates operating temp). Item is of good quality. I recommend it for simple uses.

   Nicely made solid SSteel pressure cooker,I have an expensive 8 litre Fissler and I like this one is better,awesome curries,quicker than the Fissler,very cute…fits 300 grams of goat,lamb,and a big chunked potatoe..oh and the basmati and jasmine rice is amazing,yes I have 4 zoji rice cookers..3 minutes in the Hawkins and my rice cookers are stashed away,I need another.

   So far so good. Thought the size of the lid was wrong but it's not, there's a technique to insert the lid. The inner lid seems to have less spill and is relatively easy to insert once u get the hang of it. Bought a newer Tefal cooker however it had a constant steam release and was slower than the old style. I prefer this old style though the modern ones might be safer.
   
   Cooked 2 cups of chickpeas. Not as heavy as a larger cooker which makes it more use-able for me. But sharp on the edges.

   This is really a high quality item. Made well, heavy duty quality construction. I can't say enough about it. As for cooking; after reading the directions one time we have had perfect results each time and we have used it every day since the 27th of December. today is the 8th of January 2024 . My wife has been able to adjust how something cooks based on the directions and this little 1.5 liter cooker makes plenty for the two of us.
   if you are looking for a pressure cooker, I highly reccomend the Hawkins brand. We are extremely satisfied.

   I really like that the top locks from the inside. Weighted pressure regulator will always maintain accurate pressure. This pot can cook very quietly and economically if you can figure out how to set the heat source so that it maintains pressure, making a very faint hissing sound, but not over-pressurizing to the point that it whistles loudly.
